Regularly Mondays 7PM

The weekly animal communication/intuitive group is being revised for the holiday season.  Please mark these on your calendar.  Donations accepted

Do you want a deeper your connection with your pet?

Allow me to support your connection to your animal companions.  I will open with a prayer and a general message about our animal friends.  Each person attending will have the opportunity to ask one question about their animal companion or anything pertaining to their animal.  The session will close with a meditation and a prayer circle for all the animals in need.

We’ve been using Julie now for over a year and she is amazing!!  I would strongly recommend attending these sessions!!  Heck we might see you there as I know I really want to start attending!!

In Memoriam-Honor Page

Many of you read or heard about what happened to Roo. We started talking about a Roo fund and a Roo memorial page.

However, recently an old family friend passed away and his family asked that, instead of giving them money and flowers as people sometimes do to help the family, they were instead asked to make a donation in Ty’s honor to AHNM.

He was an animal lover and his family thought that this was just the most fitting for the situation.

His passing was just so strange.  You see we were neighbors years and years ago.  I was just a little girl but was head over heals in love with Ty– my parents still laugh because they would come into my room to see what I was doing and I would tell them I was reading my Bible..  My dad though figured it out– he told my mom one day-” she’s not reading the Bible she’s watching Ty play basketball.”

Recently my mother and his mother saw each other at the store after several years.  They got to talking and the conversation turned to me and Ty and how in love I was with him!  So they talked and both mothers were going to tell us that evening and that they ran into each other.

Of course my mom called me right away and told me.  Unfortunately Ty’s mother never got the chance to tell him.

Ty’s family thought it would be fitting for people to make a donation to the rescue in honor of their son and we greatly appreciate it.  I just wish we could have seen each other or at least talked prior to his passing. .

Anyhow I have decided to just make a memoriam page for anyone wanting to make a donation in honor or memory of a loved one– whether it have 2 legs or more.  Click HERE to go to our In Honor-Memory page.

Media Stories

I want to thank all the internet, television, and radio outlets that have done stories on us!!!  Without their attention nobody would know who we are or what we do!!  So a heartfelt thank you goes out to all the media personnel who have done stories on us and our dogs!!

Channel 7 has done quite a bit of media on our dogs— first with Cupcake and even a follow up story and recently they followed our little guy Frankie’s healing and adoption progress– with one of their own staff members being the adopter!!! They have always proven very rescue friendly — so we have to love and thank Channel 7 for everything they have done to help rescues!!!!

We also love our good friend Sunny Ares— we always have our disagreements, of course what friends don’t, however we always come to the same conclusion– that pitts get a bad rap and how important it is for the media and rescue to work together to help these misunderstood babies!!

Recently Sunny came out and video taped us working with a couple of our dogs who had come in from a starvation case.  She was here to watch and tape the first part of their rehabilitation process in dealing with food aggression.  Me and the girls have dealt with problem dogs before and never recommend the public trying this stuff themselves— we always recommend they hire a professional that is very experienced in dealing with problem behaviors (Custom K9 Performance is our trainer of choice).

The other day we did a follow up to that story with what has happened to our boys Magnum, Ruger, and Spankey and Sunny also surprised us with a Pit bull video showing the girls when they were very young and we were volunteering at the local shelter doing their photos for the internet (this time spent at that shelter really showed us the love pit bulls really hold in their hearts for people) and it also shows some of the dogs who have found homes through Almost Home NM— I really loved watching this video and think you will too!!!  We are very happy to now be on 575 magazine with some of our dogs and thank them to no end for having us on their show and really promoting rescue animals!!  It is great to know they are sooo rescue friendly!!!!  Take a look your dog might be on there!!!
