REST IN PEACE |
|
This page is dedicated to all the animals who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. The pictures and short stories will serve as reminders for us to pray for the animals who have passed on without ever knowing the love of a forever family.
Please remember and pray for the animals impounded and euthanized at Animal Control Facilities, left in the backyards of careless owners, fought, raced, and trained to do silly tricks for human amusement, the breeding dogs who are caged and kept only as puppy producing machines never knowing the love of a family and a warm, soft bed, the animals in slaughterhouses being slaughtered for our consumption (remember they gave their life for us), and any other animal who has passed on. Please remember and keep them all in your prayers..
We do recommend if you have lost a pet to visit www.Critters.com. There is so much love and compassion it is truly amazing to see and read how much some of these people loved and still love their pets!!! It also allows you to post your own memorial and of course you can meet others who are also grieving over the loss of their beloved fur baby.

This is our little Shyler who passed almost right after we took him in. He was thrown over the fence and his intestines telescoped– the majority of the time he spent with AHNM was at our vet’s office. We tried very hard to save him but I guess it was just his time to go. We still miss him everyday! |

Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigour, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly it begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, strong legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands caress the beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together. |

This was my beautiful little Roxie who we pulled from the shelter. She was a little wild with a bad leg. We put her through surgery and put her up for adoption however the only family she ever got to know was here. Shortly after posting her as being available she passed away. She swallowed a piece of a rubber ball which punctured an intestine. We miss our little wild girl so much. |

This was Abuela. We fostered her for Quixote Humane and she was my sweet little old lady that just loved attention. Fortunately she did get adopted by a wonderful woman who called me up the day she passed. My little Abuela will always hold a special place in my heart. |

Cody came into rescue with his brother Zack (adopted). Unfortunately, he had distemper which proved fatal. We will miss our sweet baby that we only had a few days with.. |
|
Rascal was one of our special babies that we loved with all our hearts. We will always miss him. |

This is Mary– She died of a disease (Distemper) that could have been prevented with a simple vaccine. |

Dolly recently passed of old age. She and Abuela were adopted together and lived a very happy life with a woman who loved them both dearly. |

Lacey was a sweet girl who had finally found her forever home. She will be missed but we are thankful that she knew love before and during her passing. |
