Almost Home New Mexico

Adoptable PETS

We do not have hours of operation nor are we open for the public to come out and view the animals without an appointment.  All appointments are made after an application has been submitted and approved.  Please do not call me and tell me you are in Peralta and trying to find us because you want to come see the dogs.  Chances are very high that you will be told it was a wasted trip as that is just not how we run things here.

Please read the entire bio before emailing or calling for more information– if you have a specific question that you can’t find the answer to in the bio then email it to me but be specific.  You would be surprised how many emails I get with “How much is the adoption fee” and “Can I get more information on this pet”— it is in the bio.

To adopt from us send an email to requesting an application.

We will send that out to you usually within 24 hours. Fill it out and return it via email. Once we review it we will email you back to schedule an appointment.  If you do not hear from us please contact us again– sometimes emails get lost in space somewhere.  Please do not call immediately after you send it to make sure I got it– give me at least 24 hours to respond– I do work full time and I am extremely busy all the time but do try to answer emails as soon as possible.

*We do not hold animals for extended periods of time, and sending in an application is no guarantee that you will get that particular animal.

If you are coming from out of state we will make arrangements with you at this time. You, as the adopter, must make arrangements to come out to meet and pick up your new member– we do not ship animals.

You can read an animal’s bio by clicking either on the name or on the picture.  Once you open up that pets bio to the right in small blue letters is a link that says “Read more about this pet” click on that link to open up the entire bio.
